This past week, we decided to give away a download code for the full game of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch . We would award it to the person who could best explain why they wanted to play Level-5's lovable gem .
A few days and over twenty submissions later, we've selected our winner. It's really a shame, though, because we got some fantastic pieces that proved both the writer's passion for JRPGs and his or her burning desire to play Ni no Kuni . It made me wish we had more than one code or perhaps a physical copy to give away. Unfortunately, there can be only one winner and indeed, one submission stood out due to the sheer amount of time and effort that clearly went into the article. You'll see it posted as a guest editorial in just a few minutes here but for now, here's the name of the winner-
Congrats to Grant on taking such a vested interest in such a special game. Again, I wish we could hand out more codes because I really did get a lot of great submissions. I would also add that so many were obviously intelligent and well-written…and when I asked Call of Duty to fans to defend their favorite genre, I didn't receive a single submission that I could in good conscience post on the site. …just sayin'.
P.S. I know some very, very smart people who love Call of Duty. This isn't a bash. It's more of a demographic/audience comparison in general.
