Well, holy crap.

If you're looking to own one of the biggest and most comprehensive video game collections in the world and you've got over a half-million to blow, check this out:

eBay user "videogames.museum" is looking to sell off his massive collection , which consists of 6,850 games, 330 consoles, 220 controllers, and 185 accessories. The bidding starts at $550,000…as of yet, there are no bids. But that doesn't mean they won't show up because last year, a French gamer sold his collection of over 7,000 games across 22 systems for a grand total of $1.3 million. This particular gamer says he simply has "too many things and the space to store them is finished long ago." …yeah, where'd it go?

Me, I'm always leery about making big purchases when the person is in another country. But I suppose it can go through just fine, provided everything's on the up-and-up. So, who's gonna start the bidding?

Thanks, BikerSaint!

Thanks for the shout-out, John.

Yeah, his certainly makes my collection of 46 console/handhelds, 2,367 games, & tons of gaming accessories look really puny by comparison.

And I can see the price being high, as I was spending an average of 2-3 grand a year on mine alone when I was still working.
Now it's down to zero $$$ for me & if it get's any worse, I might have no choice but to sell off my whole collection too, or at least a major part of it.

I'd like to see a celebrity bid on this instead of wasting $550,000-$1,500,000 a year on cocaine.

Even if I had the money, I see no reason why I would want this. It would, indeed, take 3 lifetimes to play everything to its fullest.

Buy the collection, open up an online store, sell everything one by one… pray that people will be interested and you'll make your money back. 🙂

With 550g i would be relaxing in a quite lake house. I'd own it, and i could do what i want to do peacefully with no bs attached.

The shipping costs on that must be huge.

And damn, 330 consoles? I'm blown away.

I wonder how many of this guy's 14 or so XBOX 360's still actually work!

Seriously though, I wonder how long it must have taken him to go through and setup all those pictures he took! He says he took around 10000 pics in total! 😮

That's a huge collection, maybe the person could consider selling some of this stuff at some expo. It's better to do something now then wait, the person wants his normal life back.
