Killzone is an important PlayStation franchise, and one that should help to boost the Vita's appeal.

Killzone: Mercenary is now scheduled to launch on September 17, which seems like a a long ways off but remember, time flies…

And to whet your appetite, here's a new trailer entitled "War Is Our Business." It shows off some gameplay that is guaranteed to remind you of the FPS greatness found in the console iterations of the series. This title should really push Sony's portable in terms of technical capability, and in our estimation, despite its flaws, Resistance: Burning Skies proved that the dual analog setup for the Vita works very well for shooters. It actually makes them function correctly.

Here's hoping Mercenary is a must-play title for the Vita!

Looks good! The first proper shooter on vita.
I just realised that it will release on the same day as GTA5. Looks this summer is going to be all bout the last of us..

Guerrilla Games never ceases to amaze me with their ability to make games look pretty.

This should be a real treat for anyone with a Vita.

Looks good. Graphically not a PS3 match but still real nice. I see GG is making more use of alpha based smoke plumes now, now that it's more affordable.

Simply amazing! Brutal Melee touch FTW! To far off though. It's going to be a tough wait.

On the other hand can you imagine what GG will be able to do with Killzone 4 on the PS4! (Head Just Exploded!)

Makes me want to see more Killzone on the PS3. Those eviroments were pretty impressive. And did that guy just get stabbed in the crotch?!

I'm a big fan of this franchise and it's nice to see it looks to be making the transition to the portable system very well. Since it's being done in-house by Guerilla there's every reason to be confident it will end up great.

Gotta admit, that does look pretty good, especially for the Vita

This game looks better than a lot of current 360/ps3 titles 😀

Can't wait to get it!

Been spending all my free time in Persona 4 golden for Vita recently. I had never played the title and if some1 here didn't, YOU HAVE TOO. Getting it for the Vita just means I can NEVER stop playing lolll follows me everywhere

The game looks great, when it comes out it may finally push me to get a Vita.

Looks amazing. Hopefully because Guerrilla is making it the transition of the Killzone franchise to the Vita won't be plagued by the same shortcomings that have befallen some of the other major franchises in terms of a reduction in overall quality by being developed by another studio altogether.

Yes, Uncharted: Golden Abyss is good, but the touch controls to cut things with the machete felt like it was tacked on in the last 30 seconds of development just to say it was there.
