Ninja Gaiden with zombies kinda makes sense. An almost superhuman hero with a really sharp weapon slashing through hordes of the shuffling undead.

Well, sure.

And now we know it's coming to the PlayStation 3. When Team Ninja initially announced their new project entitled Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z , studio boss Yosuke Hayashi didn't specify the intended platforms, just saying it was coming to "consoles."

Now, though, as revealed by Spark Unlimited job listings (spotted by Siliconera ), the consoles that will receive this spinoff are, perhaps predictably, the PS3 and Xbox 360. Both consoles appear in the job descriptions for a senior character artist and a senior designer. Supposedly, this project boasts "a bold new take on third-person slasher" and we should also expect some "horror elements, too." That might not be exactly what Ninja Gaiden followers want but hey, spinoffs are big this generation.

This is gonna be fun, a real Japanese slasher, but I hope it's not as difficult as NG. I'm weak.

Well at least it works better in this situation because Ninja Gaiden does already have supernatural elements in it, unlike Yakuza: Dead Souls, which strayed so far from its origin.

oooooo, horror slasher count me in!
its about time someone looked at the very popular zombie genre and tried to do something different with it!
as for the faithful, well, i think after NG3 there pretty much use to disappointment.
in fact expecting it.
i knew the series was dead as soon as tombonu and half his team left!
makes me so sad THQ dropped devils third, now that ubisoft are apparently after THQs licenses makes me wonder if they picked devils third up.
i hope so, id be so disappointing to see it get canned it looked so cool!
unique too, how often do we get a shooter and slasher?
last game i can remember was the criminal underrated WET!
instead of doing that naughty bear crap the devs really should do a wet sequel!
