It's one of the very best games of 2012, which means a great many should be anxious to nab the first piece of downloadable content. Aren't you?

Ubisoft has announced The Hidden Secrets, the first DLC pack for Assassin's Creed III . It is now available for Season Pass holders for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. If you don't have the Season Pass, you'll have to wait until next week – December 11 – to snag the extra content. It'll release for the Wii U "at a later date."

This new pack adds three missions to the stellar adventure: The Lost Mayan Ruins, the Ghost of War, and A Dangerous Secret. Each provides about one hour of gameplay and we'll also get two single-player costumes (the fabled Captain of the Aquila uniform and the traditional Colonial Assassin outfit) and two multiplayer characters (the Redcoat and the Sharpshooter). If you have the Season Pass, you'll not only get this for free, you'll also get the other four scheduled pieces of DLC as well. The Pass can be had for $29.99 if you're so inclined.

Future DLC includes the Tyranny of King Washington, which is another all-new single-player campaign told via three episodic content packs. The more content this awesome game has, the better. Simple.
