A little over a year ago, one of the most entertaining games of 2011 landed. It had its fair share of flaws, but Ace Combat: Assault Horizon was still a blast to play.
And now, Namco Bandai Games America Inc. has announced that the high-octane flight title is currently available for purchase on the PlayStation Network; it will debut on Xbox LIVE on December 18. Steam users have to wait until Q1 2013. Yep, Assault Horizon is goin' digital.
Featuring in-your-face effects and both co-op and multiplayer combat, Assault Horizon hits you right between the eyes and never lets up. It's not supposed to be a flight simulator; rather, it's designed to give you high-flying thrills without the tedium of learning and mastering intricately complex controls. And you gotta love the close-range assault system, which kinda makes you feel Godlike…
By the way, the standalone PSN version will cost you $19.99, while the one with extra DLC will run you $29.99. Ace Combat with the DLC pack features the Tokyo and Honolulu maps plus six additional aircraft: ASF-X Shinden II, F-15S/MTD, Su-37 Terminator, AV-8B Harrier II Plus, CFA-44 Nosferatu, and Ka-50 Hokum.
If you missed out last year, it's time to give it a try.
