Damn Rayman keeps getting in the way! Okay, that isn't fair; Rayman is good stuff.
But still, those looking forward to the long -awaited Beyond Good & Evil sequel should know that creator Michel Ancel's focus is currently on games like Rayman Legends , which, according to Polygon , is "slowing development" on BG&E2.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot gave us the following update:
"What's very important is that Michel Ancel is kind of doing too many things at the same time. He was working on Rayman Origins last year, and he's working a lot on Rayman Legends this year. So, you know, when he does that, he kind of puts too much of his time on the other projects that he has."
That being said, Guillemot added that Ancel and Ubisoft "are committed to bringing Beyond Good & Evil 2 to market." He said it's definitely a game they "want to do" but for now, it's obviously on the back burner. This will once again prompt the theory that the sequel will be produced for next-generation hardware, which we wouldn't mind…it's just that this wait is kinda agonizing . If you haven't yet, make sure to give Beyond Good & Evil HD a try. it's pretty sweet.
