Special MGS4 25th Anniversary Edition Coming Our Way?

Even if you've already played it (and you should've), this is still a must-have for all hardcore fans of the franchise.

As spotted by Eurogamer , Konami is prepping a special 25th Anniversary Edition of the award-winning Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots , which launched on the PS3 in 2008.

UK-based retailers Zavvi and ShopTo both have listings for this new iteration of an instant classic, and they say it's due out on November 30. The game hasn't been officially announced so we can't say it's certain, but it definitely seems plausible. This past summer, a long-awaited update brought Trophies to MGS4, which is widely considered to be one of the very best titles of the generation and potentially the best, depending on who you talk to. Here's hoping this sweet Anniversary Edition gets detailed soon.

And then they can tell us more about Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes .

Aha there you are! Did you catch the news that an initiative to create a new Elite game is on Kickstarter now?!

Check it out:

You can even be part of the design decision members, should you have the dough for the admittance. Come on, you know you want to! 😉

Do it, boy. You got a job to do. A purpose. Make sure they do it right. They need a stubborn Highlander among them ;). Someone that can make sure this doesn't end up just a space action shooter, but remain faithful to the original concept.

But just imagine… The soul of the original combined with the computing power of today. Oh man.

Curious to know if this comes with something special or if it's just another re-release. I'd be interested if it had something cool with it.

Off topic, was hoping to see an article about the new ps store. I have to say I absolutely hate it. Did anyone else notice it takes twice as long to do anything now, like downloading a demo has more than twice as many steps. The filters have no ps1 option. The new store might have a sleek new look, but the old store was more efficient.

I hope so too…and that they don't act like dumbass Square Enix back in '09 claiming that it would be "unfair" to release a PS3 demo of FFXIII to the West because XBOX 360 users would feel "left out."

Idiots…

It's pretty sad that I own multiple copies of several MGS games. Somehow, I don't seem to mind.

I just bought Metal Gear Solid 3 (and 2) for the THIRD time this week, this time as HD downloads for my newly-acquired, white PS Vita. I like Metal Gear. A lot.

Those trophies were a bitter sweet moment.

Awesome because I COULD platinum one of my favourite games of all time, and bad because you need to finish the game 9 times, in very specific ways each time to do that.

MGS3: 2 regular copies, 2 subsistance ed, 1 limited edition, 1 HD edition. Please……make it stop.
