The Mass Effect Trilogy will be available on November 6 for the Xbox 360 and PC but up until now, we had no idea when it would arrive for the PS3.

Thankfully, now we do. BioWare has confirmed that the trio of fantastic sci-fi RPGs will hit Sony's console on December 4.

This means PS3 players finally get a chance to play the original Mass Effect , which never released for that system. Also, if you played the last two and would rather not purchase the entire Trilogy (which will retail for the standard $60), the first title will be available by itself on the PlayStation Network. We're not sure of the price, but we're fairly certain it'll be less than sixty bucks.

The PS3 version of the Mass Effect Trilogy will also have some great DLC, as we'll get the original ME's Bring Down the Sky content, and the Cerberus Network for ME2 (Kasumi, Overlord, and Lair of the Shadow Broker content). Lastly, don't forget that only the PS3 iteration of the first Mass Effect will feature significant improvements . This wouldn't be a bad item to add to your holiday wish list…

That could trouble my schedule, I was hoping to beat ME3 and sell those games first.

Already own and cherish 2 and 3 so I will be picking up ME1 for $14.99. Cannot believe EA allowed ME1 to be sold by itself on PSN. I am actually shocked they didn't go for the cash grab and double dip from gamers.

Looking forward to ME again with the improvements and to play it on my big screen. It has the most scope in the series in my opinion. Unfortunately they didn't keep to their original vision due to people leaving but ME still stands as a wonderful piece of story and immersion of a realized universe.

ME1 is in my top 5 games this generation. It just has so much more soul and depth to it than the sequels. It feels like I am in a vast universe in ME1, not disjointed corridors like the sequels.

I'm excited for PS3 players and RPG fans to finally see what the fuss was about.

Well, that burns my excuse for not playing ME. So many games to play. I hope I can get to this trilogy in 2013…

What can I say… This is *the* franchise of the generation for me. Simple as that. So will I get it? But of course.

Looks like I've got to make that journey again on the PS3 this time.

Sweet. This is definitely going on my Christmas list.

It's disappointing that it won't have ALL of the DLC, but $60 for three great games is just… Great!

So glad I didn't yet buy ME3. I'll happily pay $30 each for ME & ME3, on disc and with that sweet packaging. I don't even feel the need to trade ME2. Xmas list it is.
