The LEGO games are doing just fine, thank you very much, and the newest could become extremely popular.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has confirmed that LEGO: Lord of the Rings will be ready to go in North America on November 13 (November 23 in Europe), when it will launch for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii and PC. The game is already on store shelves for the PlayStation Vita, 3DS, and DS.

Based on J.R.R. Tolkien's legendary fantasy books and Peter Jackson's Oscar-winning film series, the latest LEGO adventure follows the storylines from each book/film, and that includes dialogue from the movies. This won't be like LEGO Harry Potter , either, in that this epic saga will be told within the confines of one game. Frodo Baggins and the fellowship of the ring must set out to destroy the One Ring in the fires of Mount Doom. But as dark as the premise is, you just know you can expect that lighthearted LEGO flair, which makes all these games great fun for the whole family. Usually well worth the price of admission.

And remember, it will undoubtedly be more fun with a friend. 🙂

Anyone know how the Vita LOTR game turned out? Obviously it's another 3DS port. But I cannot find a review anywhere for it. PS3 version is a D1P for me. My son keeps asking me for it. To bad it was moved back from the 10/30/12 release date 🙁

I hope the next LEGO game will be Back to the Future!
That would be awesome.

Did you play the series from Tell Tale Games? The gameplay was alright, but the story was a lot of fun 🙂
