Hey, you know that Borderlands 2 is a pretty good game. Okay, really good.

And a whole lot of people have responded to that quality. Take-Two has posted up their latest financial earnings , and it's obvious that Gearbox's critically acclaimed title has helped the company's bottom line.

The well-received sequel has shipped 5 million copies since its launch in September, and Take-Two has reported $10.2 million profit on $273 million in revenue for the three-month period that ended September 30. The publisher also revealed that digital sales were up 108%. The really cool part is that Borderlands 2 is one of the most successful releases in 2K's history, and that's always good to hear. By the way, Take-Two reminded us again that Grand Theft Auto V is set for Spring 2013. Don't worry, guys…we really won't forget. 😉

That is great, but I would have expected more!! There are a lot of gamers missing out on my current GOTY 2012!

Edit – Also very good news for the next gen Borderlands 3!!

I'm glad it's good, I'm going to have to delete BL1 from my hard drive even though it was free. It's so lame I can't put time into it.

This game is great because of the co-op. My two sons and I have spend many hours together gaming on that title.

More games should have co-op like that… Bethesda! I am looking at you.

It certainly is the most engrossing game I've played this entire generation. I've spent more time playing Borderlands 2 then any other game that I've gotten for PS3. I bought Assassins Creed 3 yesterday and played for about three hours. After that though, I wanted to go right back to playing Borderlands 2. I started up a new character with Maya for kicks. Just a fantastic game!

I'm glad that 2K is having success with this game. I'm really looking forward to Borderlands 3! I hope that it comes out as a launch title for PS4. That would be wicked cool!

Playing borderlands 2 for only 10 hours made me want to go by the first game. So I went and bought the GOTY version and I've been playing that as well. Just fabulous games. Oh, and I play all of my games solo. I know the co-op is supposed to be fantastic, but I just prefer to go at my own pace.

Nice post, I also enjoyed Borderlands SP. Never got to play B1 with anyone else. It didn't matter to me it just hit the right cord and I got the Platinum. B2 is amazing and I have tasted the COOP and it was fantastic. My COOP buddy just stopped playing. It's like he doesn't play B2 anymore, weird! We had such a great time too! So far, B2 SP is amazing and I am not looking back. 🙂

Maya is the best character you could ask for. She's so good at everything! She's a healer, a supporter, and tough as hell! You'll really enjoy your time with her! She's obviously fit for group play, but again she's tough and that's going to go a long ways for SP.

Borderlands 1 is so awesome! Good you get to experience that one too.

I loved playing Borderlands 1 GOTY edition and just wish I could find the funds these days to get B2 also.
