Sony's holiday season may not boast a super huge exclusive title for the PlayStation 3 (unless you call PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale "super huge"), but most readers still think the company will have a productive holiday season.

According to our latest poll, most participants either said Sony will do great over the next few months, or they'll do "pretty good" even though we'll definitely feel the absence of an Uncharted or something like that. After all, Sony does have the new PS3 consoles on store shelves, and there's PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale for the PS3 and Assassin's Creed III: Liberation for the Vita. So maybe Sony will indeed have a solid fourth quarter; they could certainly use it heading into 2013.

This week, several big titles – including Liberation – are coming, and we want to know quite simply- Are you getting Assassin's Creed III ? Or are you going to wait for some reviews before deciding? Let us know.

I think they hoping people will buy Vitas.

There should be an option on that poll for people that will wait for the GOTY edition so as not to spring for DLC.

I'll be waiting for the GotY version too. Considering I still have brotherhood and revolutions to go through, I should be good until the full version comes out.

BTW when do they anounce the Video Game Awards anyway?

I was about to post something similar, World. Could we have an option for us cheapskates that doesn't buy *all* games on release day please, Ben? 🙂

My option would be, "Of course, it'll be mine first day after the price drop!". Cause I can wait. I had the patience to wait a YEAR before I got the Infamous 2 so I can bloody well wait for this one too! 😀

(I am currently waiting for Dishonored to drop, but *that's* a tough one to wait out. I'll give it out November.)

Yeah, I didn't vote cause as I'm sure to get it eventually (GOTY) I doubt I'll be picking it up soon. But Liberation on the other hand: D1P

Liberation will be more than enough Creed for me for the time being…

I think the PS brand has a great few months ahead. That AC3, PS3 bundle has a lot of people talking. AC3: Liberation might just help the Vita out as well. Nothing helps out a machine more than games, and although there may be a little less 1st party support this year than past, I dont see that affecting anything too much.

Sony's got a nice holiday lineup and I'm fairly confident the PS3 will do well. Hopefully things turn around for the Vita, but I think a price drop needs to happen before we start seeing significant improvement there.

As far as AC 3 goes, I can't wait for it, getting my copy of the game along with a copy of Liberation at one of the midnight launch events.

I'm so far behind on the Assassin's Creed series, I haven't even started Brotherhood yet and it has been at least a year since I have played AC2 – Which I really enjoyed. I will one day get back into this series. But as many have stated, we all know there will be a GotY edition. just look at how they have already slapped the about the DLC. Then there is also a gam on the Vita too… that just puts me off even more to be honest…

its a shame sly got delayed till next year, that really would of helped $ony.
especially considering the buy the ps3 version get the vita version free!
wonder whats happening with dust 514 as well, suppose to release this year but, well, they dont have long to announce it!
they really should of brought one of next years games forward to fill the void.
i mean GOWA looks finished, never have i played a demo so smooth and well perfect!
and that was E3 code, imagine what id be like by now!
they really need something to make people stand up and take notice, really, this has been THE most disappointing year in the ps3s history!
hell even 07 had more, and better exclusives than this year!

as for AC3 do cows go moo?
sad pirates have been able to play the game for days now, yet us loyal excited fans have to wait.
wish ubisoft would bring the release date forward!
eh, whatever, just one thing ubi if you end 3 with another massive cliffhanger and hold off on answering the questions 2 left off with im going to freak!
been waiting 3 long years to get answers, so you better dish them in spades!

I wouldn't say it's a very disappointing year though, probably because 2011 was too awesome that 2012 became a disappointment in many's eyes.

its been a immensely disappointing year!
may time last year there already was so many GOTY contenders, dead space 2, crysis 2, portal 2, mortal kombat, LA Noire, just to name a few!
only 1 game released so far, not may, but october, that is GOTY material, and that just happens to also be the biggest disappointment of the year.
how depressing is that!?
and considering the rest of the year there will probably be only another 1 game that will be of GOTY quality, thats 2 games for the WHOLE year!
compare to last years like 20!
nah this year totally has not been a massive disappointment.

so many games have been good, but nowhere near as good as they should of been!
MP3 for instance, a brilliant game, but its R*, and its been in development for so freaking long now so i really expected more!

Is Sony seriously think that PS Battle Royale is gonna pump up the sales?
360 has Halo 4 coming up and that's all they have?

I don't know if they'll be fine but the 360 will really outsell the PS3 by some margin.

360 has been outpacing PS3 in North America for a while now so it's not like that is anything new, and yes Halo 4 will almost certainly help the cause. However, since the other big gaming markets in the world, Japan and Europe, have consumers who aren't utterly clueless, they could possibly push PS3 over the 360 in the world wide picture, which is more important. We'll see what happens.

But who would wait for the fourth entry of halo to finally buy a 360? I would think most people who are buying the game already have a 360. Then again I could be wrong. I will be playing my friends copy on his 360. Gonna be fun.

Well, we still have some great titles coming soon. I am looking forward to getting dishonored and some Black ops 2, plus I'm still going throuhg RE6 and Doom 3 BFG edition. I'm good for now though. I must play AC at tsome point though. I never played it.

I still wish they kept the Kevin Butler character for their ads and YouTube vids. They really have no right to complain about the actor doing other things if they weren't going to continue using him and I think that's a bit of a loss/screw-up by them.

Think I might wait till Black Friday to buy AC 3, along with Sleeping Dogs and maybe RE 6.

Should finish up Trails in the Sky on the PSP this week and then replay MGS 4 with the trophy patch. Then back to new releases as mentioned above.

I'm having a Sony Christmas this year. I'm buying my wife a PSP Go and Sony ear buds to use when she walks. I bought the Sony 3D monitor early, for me, and my son wants one now, so he will get it for Christmas and my daughter wants a Vaio laptop. lol. As far as my house goes, Sony will do ok.
