Oh look, another reason to be a PlayStation Plus member.

The God of War: Ascension multiplayer beta test has been officially detailed over at the PlayStation Blog and we learn that the beta will be available to Plus users this winter. There is one other way to get in, however… Read on.

But first, a little info: Each warrior will side with one of four Gods, and each God grants a different set of powers, armor and abilities; the "classes," if you will. The first God you can align with in the beta will be the all-powerful Zeus, so that oughta be fun. To learn more, you should head over to GodofWar.com , which is where you'll read about the only other way to sample the hotly anticipated Ascension before it releases.

It's a new social experience dubbed "The Rise of the Warrior," which is described as an "epic new graphic-novel style story." You can pick either the Spartans or the Trojans and compete in a variety of social challenges that will earn your army a week of exclusive early access to the multiplayer beta, along with 30 free days of PlayStation Plus. More rewards will be coming your way, too, so remain vigilant! And remember, God of War: Ascension is slated to launch on March 12.

Funny, Biker. I am not very computer savy. How do I fix up an avatar?

Huey,
Sorry, but at almost 60, I'm still probably the least tech savvy poster here,(that's why I couldn't resize this new pic to a smaller one, or a few others I wanted to use either) LOL.

The best I can do is only use a pic that's already been sized small.

Maybe one of our other posters will chime in here to help you out.

Huey, if you're using Windows, you can resize photos using Windows Live Photo Gallery.
