It'd be tough to make Borderlands 2 better than it already is.

But as always, in just about any walk of life, the addition of pirates somehow does make everything better. Four campaign expansions are planned for Gearbox's awesome title, and the first add-on piece arrives next week.

It's called the Captain Scarlett and her Pirate's Booty DLC, and it'll be ready to go for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC on October 16; it'll hold a price tag of $9.99 or 800 Microsoft Points. It seems a character is attempting to construct a tropical paradise on Pandora, but her work has been plagued by swarms of pirates…who are obviously attracted to tropical locales. So clearly, something has to be done so Scarlett can enjoy her new digs, and we're assuming that's where you come in. By the way, if you picked up the DLC season pass for this game ($30), you won't be paying for this.

The Mechromancer DLC, which offers a new class to toy around with, is already available. It was supposed to launch next week but it appears all the DLC has been moved up. And nobody's gonna complain.

Pirates do make everything better, even Two Worlds II got better with the pirates DLC.

I'd tap that booty.

The DLC for the first Borderlands was excellent. The Underdome wasn't the best, but it was still fun. This is easily my GOTY so far, and the DLC will only make it better!

That's great! Borderlands DLC was very good except for Madd Moxies Underdome. I bought the Season Pass so it will be great get even more value out of this addicting game and with Pirates!!!

I have to chime in on the consensus here: If you got Borderlands 2 you *want* this added content. The original Borderlands had some of the best DLC I've enjoyed, it's right up there with the Fallout 3 DLCs.

These guys know what makes a good DLC.

I agree, and in general I am hugely against DLC as its usually a rip off.

Borderlands had the best DLC I have ever encountered and some of them were huge for only ten bucks. I remember a sale where I got the game of the year edition on PS3 for 15 bucks…which at the time I hadn't tried the DLC because I didn't trust it but man, it was totally worth it even if moxxis was a flop the rest were amazing especially general knoxx.

Beam-

You finish Borderlands 2 yet? I picked it up finally and immediately made 2 character classes to toy around with; Siren and assassin. Havnt done much as I'm still playing RE but it's already a blast.

Finished? I've not *bought* it yet! lol

It will have to wait until I am back from a two week holiday in Cyprus, jumping on the plane tonight.

Have fun in the meantime! ūüôā
