Need for Speed: Most Wanted by Criterion Games will remind you a lot of Burnout Paradise .
But it will also remind you of Hot Pursuit, also created by the racing gurus at Criterion. Just check out the latest gameplay trailer, in which a driver whips through the city of Fairhaven to outrace his opponent.
It's a full race so you definitely get an eyeful of gameplay, and it looks pretty slick. As per the name of the franchise, NFS has routinely given gamers a great feeling of speed while at the same time, the control is always solid and accessible. Never quite a simulator but never a 100% arcade experience, either, this blend of racing greatness has proven popular for decades.
Need for Speed: Most Wanted is slated to launch on October 30 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC.

Where is the part where the fairy comes out and gives me some extra exp points ….. then I stab her with my pointy sword for being a whiny little b…. OH .. this is a RACING game!
Looks like fun!!
heh cabt wait mines been preordered for months
Some day when I get a PS3 wheel I'd like a driving game that isn't full of impossible races (for a novice). Does such a thing exist?
World,
Hmmm, I was wondering if you had sprung for that PS3 wheel I sent you last week or not.
I would've gotten one of them myself, but I've got a severe lack of funding these days.
Oh I must have missed that, I get a lot of emails and I don't always have time to get to all of em. I'll still take a look though. I spent a lot on upgrading my Dreamcast so I'm trying to watch my wallet too.

If I remember right, I think it was a "24 hour only", less than 1/2price PS3 wheel deal, & is probably expired by now.
BTW, whenever I send you anything, it will always be either a good deal, or a Dreamcast article, so always check for them so no more good deals can get away from you, LOL

As long as it's not too hectic (e.g. Blur, Burnout, Split Second, etc.) any driving game will do. Gran Turismo, hands down, will give you the best racing wheel experience, but I don't know if you like sims.
I'm a fan of Midnight Club personally if you prefer arcade. I'm hoping there will be another one this gen. And actually, I think this game will do for now. I'm just not sure about the whole take down thing, cause the wheel is supposed to be used for precision driving, not a barrage of crashes.
Hmmmmmm, it sure looks tempting, but honestly there are way too many other amazing games coming out that I have to put this one on the backburner. I might get it when it's used or on sale, but AC3 is gonna be dominating my gaming this winter for sure.
Never played Burnout Paradise but did play the first Most Wanted, so I will be getting this game sometime down the line.
I don't buy driving games except for GT5. However this looks very good. Thanks for that, it really looks like a lot better than the Run. I will have to pick this up later on though, not enough funds for everything I want to get this October.

Way too many games coming out. I feel it in my wallet too! : hopefully I have cash for the vita version. Sadly enough I have yet to see any gameplay on it :(. That worries me, but coming from criterion I hope it is awesome nonetheless.
Welcome to Burnout Paradise expansion pack….was excited for the relaunch but not anymore. No thanks.
*sigh*
Yeah, I'm sort on the same boat as you. That said, they better not be doing an Underground reboot.
I will have to enjoy this game as if there was never an original Most Wanted, and basically like a Burnout sequel with licensed cars.
Ever since I heard Criterion was making this game I have been excited. I had a great time with last gen's Burnout games, and I got Paradise simply because it was a Burnout game for the PS3. Even with my high expectations for it I was blown away. I almost feel like I owe It to Criterion to buy Most Wanted for pumping out those free updates and expansions too.
Now we're getting a mix of Burnout Paradise and NFS: Most Wanted, two of my favorite racers ever. It's like a dream come true. Too bad for me ACIII comes out the same day.
Bad timing for these guys. I hope it sells well if its a good game (cough cough RE raccoon city). Man EA needs to do some MKT research!
