It's just too bad we aren't getting it this year, but at least it's not too far off.

The highly anticipated Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time will launch for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita on February 5. And yes, both versions will be available in physical form and in digital form on the PSN.

Like November's PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale , the new Sly adventure will utilize Sony's new Cross Buy promotion; if you pick up the PS3 version, the Vita version comes free of charge. We still say this is one of the best incentives we've heard the entire generation because that's some serious value, don't you think? Thieves in Time , although not created by original developer Sucker Punch, has been in the capable hands of Sanzaru Games, which produced the high-definition re-imaginings of the first three Sly Cooper titles in 2010.

For fans of the mischievous blue raccoon, this all-new entry is a long time coming. Can't wait, can ya?

Speaking of Sucker Punch, I'd like to know what they are up to lately. If we'll see an inFamous 3 this generation or maybe some new IP coming for the PS4. They've been awful quiet.

Id like a new ip…. Wasn't there a rumor last year about them moving on to something new instead of I3.

Yeah there was something to that effect, maybe they are pulling a Naughty Dog and plan to surprise us with another project in addition to I3.

Shame we in the Euro regions have to wait an extra month, but I'm cool with that. Be getting it for the Vita. Should have one by that time, or very soon after.

This cross buy stuff is still a bit confusing for me. The Vita version is like a completely different version right? Or it just depends on the game? By different version, I mean like either game, specifically made for each system with different stories and whatnot. Is it simply like a "franchise" value?

I know the Vita's powerful, but I doubt it can mirror the PS3 version. If it can, then the game is simply not being utilized to the PS3's potential.

It's scaled back graphically from the PS3 version, but otherwise pretty much the same game with a few little additions to leverage the unique capabilities of the Vita. Anything cross-buy, I think, adopts this mentality.

Other games and series like Assassin's Creed and BlOps 2 are using your idea, one that I think is better TBH, but cross-buy is basically to build up the consumer base for Vita, or allow players to switch from one to the other at will as it also has cross-saving.

Will the free one come in digital form or physical? Because I can easily see people just selling their vita versions at a cheaper price to make extra cash… Or they could just give them the code anyway for the digital version.
