Believe it or not, we've got another rumor concerning a game that might go multi-console. Yeah, we know, it's a shocker.
According to a recent interview with Senior Producer Mike Glosecki over at GamePlayer , both the PS3 and Wii could eventually see Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars . The latest installment in the legendary strategy series has already appeared on the PC and Xbox 360 (just this week, actually), but it might not end there.
"We haven't officially confirmed anything, but I don't see why it's not feasible [to bring C&C3 to the PS3]," said Glosecki. "The controls are practically the same."
As for the Wii, he said the game couldn't be as graphically impressive (which makes sense), but as for the control on that system, he has basically the same thing to say: "I don't see why it can't be done." We honestly don't know how a RTS like C&C would function on the Wii – how exactly would it take advantage of the motion sensing, if at all? – but at least it's an interesting idea. Besides, as we all know, a game released for all platforms brings in more money than a game released for one (or two) platforms. It's just a matter of math, really.
Saying, "I don't see why it's not feasible" doesn't automatically translate to "Yes, Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars is coming to the PS3," but hey, it's an open door. And given the recent praise surrounding the PS3 and higher sales numbers likely to arrive this summer, it wouldn't be a bad investment for the team. At least, that's how we see it. Bring us some of that sweet strategy action!
