Sadly, founders Greg Zeschuk and Ray Muzyka are moving on , but BioWare continues to look forward.

And that's good news for Mass Effect fans everywhere.

As revealed at the developer's blog , studio general manager Aaryn Flynn confirms that BioWare intends to create a new "full" Mass Effect game. He didn't give us any specific details, but he did ask fans to submit their ideas and feedback for the future of the series, which is always critical. Furthermore, it seems Casey Hudson is looking to create an all-new IP "set in a fictional universe," which is being built from the ground up and running on "new gaming technology."

So the head honchos are going away but what they're leaving behind is a highly talented fully functioning studio. And that's nothing to sneeze at.

Honchos like to walk away don't they? I guess it's no fun to by typecast into the same franchise your whole career.

I'm playin' Mass Effect 3 intermittently, it's such a quality game. It's scary how low profile true sci fi has been this gen. I hope the next entry uses a different formula though; I'd rather the story build up than be confronted at the beginning with the final battle and then sent off to wander about.

Apparently they both leave to do other stuff, and are leaving the business entirely. But I don't like it. I hope they don't take with them some of what has made Bioware games so great.

There has to be another Mass Effect, I just knew it.

Awesome news, I grew to become a huge fan of the universe in these past months.

Another ME is good news. I started a fresh run-through of the trilogy two weeks ago and am about 1/2 way through ME3 at the moment. it's good revisiting the start of the story, though I forgot how much I disliked that stupid Mako and the inventory system of the first game.
