With the Mass Effect trilogy complete, BioWare can now focus its full attention on their other epic role-playing franchise. Yup, that one.
We knew this was coming but it's nice to get the baseline information. As revealed at the developer's website , executive producer Mark Darrah revealed Dragon Age III: Inquisition .
He didn't list the targeted platforms, and some of the more optimistic are thinking that the third Dragon Age iteration might be targeting next-generation consoles. And as the project is slated to arrive towards the end of 2013, that might be possible. But in the meantime, we know the following: Inquisition utilizes an all-new engine (using DICE's Frostbite 2 as a foundation), which will allow the designers to produce a larger world with "more reactivity" to player choices and deeper customization options.
Darrah also noted that the same team responsible for the first Dragon Age is on board for the third title. Oh, and also, fan feedback has apparently been a critical part of the game's development, so that's good news. Let me fully equip my allies this time, BioWare. Thanks.
