Gamescom is behind us but you don't have long to wait before the Tokyo Game Show gets rolling; it's just over a month away. Yep, that soon.

One of the games that turned heads at GC 2012 was Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance and we also learned it was slated for a February launch. A demo will ship with the upcoming Zone of the Enders HD Collection , too.

But if you want more Revengeance , Kojima and Co. will have you covered at TGS. According to Andriasang , producer Yuji Korekado confirmed via Twitter that the team is working on a "completely new demo and completely new trailer" for the Tokyo Game Show. He also said there were four-hour waits to go eyes-on with the game at last week's GC event, and he heard plenty of "strong praise," too. That's always encouraging, right?

Anyway, we have total confidence that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be great. It isn't MGS and it isn't supposed to be, so we're good.

This just gives me another reason to get ZoE HD. Didn't get the chance to play it when I was younger.

The Rex sequence in Act 4 of MGS4 really made me want to play Zone of Enders again.

Since I started playing MGS4 again, it has reinforced my belief that this game should have remained in development with Kojima Pro and it should have just been a traditional MGS. Aren't ninja's supposed to be the ultimate strealthmeisters? Temji? ūüėČ All the over the top action just doesn't seem right.

I'm one of the few that is really bothered by the transition. I respect Platinum games, but no where does this game right now looks as good or run as smooth as the original… let alone the whole ninja concept like you mentioned.

I thought they could at least use the same engine, but apparently they can't or won't.

Is Zone like an action game or what? I do love me some mechs and I never heard of the games last gen.

I see they are relying on Kojima's star power to sell a game he isn't making.

I only got into them because a demo came with MGS2. Seemed to me they were unnoticed by many. They are mech action games with Kojima's great story telling ability.

I think it's mainly the "Metal Gear" title.

For all we know, this could've been a whole different cyborg type, slashing character other than Raiden, but obviously, it probably wouldn't sell as well.

really looking forward to rising.
yea it looked WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better when it was in the original studios hands, but hey its either this or nothing so ill take this.
it looks VERY different from all the other hack and slash games out there so thats nice to see.
i just hope it does not suffer from severe platinimites.
ie repetitive as hell, frustrating useless controls, and cheesier than your typical hollywood b grade summer flick!

Experienced the demo at Gamescom and I have to say the gameplay is mental. Whilst it adds a unique refinement to the action adventure genre you can see it's a much more tacky, quite cheap game with ludicrous action, but we have to be reminded that it's not Metal Gear Solid, it's Metal Gear Rising – and I guess we'll have to appreciate this fact. Still crates of fun to play though.
