Naughty Dog brought a new trailer for The Last Of Us to Gamescom. …yep.

That should be enough to excite you right there. The new two-minute video is set to the oddly haunting tunes of Hank Williams, Sr. and features all sorts of in-your-face action.

There's no doubt that survival is at the core of this game's experience, so everything will have to be approached with a sense of extreme caution. And when something does go down, you had better respond with both urgency and fortitude; otherwise, your adventure will probably end quite abruptly. There's just so much to like about this immensely promising new project, and now all we want is a concrete release date…

This continues to blow me away. Wasn't there talk on making this a trilogy?

If so are they releasing the other two on the next gen playstation or will they be PS3 releases?

Another video to avoid, I want the game to be all new to me. Maybe they should be teasing a little more before they give it all away.

They're not really giving anything away. This is mostly stuff we've already seen, just recycled in a flashier way.

Same here. The last video I've seen for The Last of Us was the gameplay trailer shown last E3. I made a promise to myself not to see anything else until I have the game in my hands. I'm already sold on it anyway. LOL

Oh okay, so stuff YOU'VE all seen. I only peeked in on the videos that came after the trailer. Even that had some great cut scenes I didn't want spoiled.

"I've been on both sides". That's very interesting, I guess we will be hearing more about that. Anyway, looking good.

really starting to get worried about this!
i mean its been in development for 3 years now!
and they have shown off 2 gameplay trailers!
TWO!
we had way more then that with both uncharteds, and both of those released 2 years apart not 3!
games been announced for almost a year and all we have to show for it is the reveal trailer, the driving scene shown just before E3, the E3 demo, and the trailer introducing you to that new character.
not exactly allot for a years worth of work!
just makes me worried this is going to end up getting rushed to squeeze into current gen systems, instead of holding it back for next gen which probably would be better.

i really hope ND realises how much is relying on this!
there are SO few survival games out there, so if this is the best game of the generation, and is polished better than uncharted 2, than hopefully it could revive the genre!
but end up disappointing, and it will be the final nail in its coffin.
ALLOTS riding on this!

To be honest, I'm still hoping for something that's completely fresh and new apart from the Uncharted Series. Right now, Last of Us just seems to be like Uncharted with different characters, story, and a more adult-oriented feel to it. In terms of gameplay, little has changed, if any.

I was hoping for too much when I thought this game was gonna be a sandbox type game with lots of exploring.

I am with you in the sense that I hope it is nothing like Uncharted. I don't like the Uncharted games at all. I want a sandbox survival, it is still easy enough to tell a story while allowing me freedom to discover. But if it ends up being linear like Uncharted I will only have the story to look forward too(which isn't that bad after all).

I am however excited that it is at least very adult, the complete opposite of Uncharted which to me is nothing more than an Indiana Jones movie(which I also don't like).
