For the most part, everyone likes to assume Grand Theft Auto V will launch during Take-Two's current fiscal year (2013).

That's mostly because the publisher posted some pretty rosy predictions for the year, which have led analysts to make the obvious assumption that GTAV will hit relatively soon.

However, not everyone is convinced. Janco Partners' Mike Hickey told NowGamer that at this rate, it's feasible that one of the most anticipated games of the generation could release after March 2013…hence, fiscal 2014. By the way, same goes for Bioshock Infinite , which has been making people a tad nervous .

Said Hickey:

"We suspect both GTA V and Bioshock Infinite could realistically slip into a fiscal ‘14 release period."

Perhaps we'll see GTAV in May. Take-Two and Rockstar seem to like that month, as we've seen Max Payne 3 , L.A. Noire and Red Dead Redemption launch in May in each of the last three years. Also, don't forget that GTAIV released in April. We say just get GTAV and Infinite here ASAP!

Have you ever heard of tila tequila? Had the biggest crush on her in high school. Watched both seasons.

My original guess at a release date was May, 2013 (at the earliest), so this seems completely believable to me.

I beg to differ my good man!
Rockstar tend to make games with awesome stories, and if they bring back bmx's and mountain bikes well….i'll be a happy camper.

I don't know that I'd go as far as to say GTA is played out, but I definitely want to see another Max Payne and hopefully a N.Y. Noire! But as we've discussed before, Rockstar makes stellar games, and I'll be buying GTA V day one, hopefully sooner rather than later.

GTA is far from being played out.

I'll tell you what, they are going to have to step up their game in GTA V to something a lot less repetitive. IV had a truly living city and great characters but it was almost all assassinations, then the fun stuff turned into dating and darts. They ditched all the fun cheat codes like perfect handling and riots.

I want all that back, and BMXs too.

What I want more than a GTAV release date is details about the game…

Oh man, at first I thought we were talking about moving GTA and Bioshock to 2014, ie a *year* later.

But if the next gen consoles indeed are launched in 2013, and to me it looks more and more like they might, then there could be that those two titles are aiming for being launch titles for those machines.

And frankly, I don't mind waiting a few more months if that means I can play GTA5 and Infinity on my PS4 instead. It'd be an awesome kick start of a new generation.

That would be sad though… because to play them I would be forced to upgrade. Maybe I will have to eat my words and upgrade when everyone else does to enjoy these titles, and yet so much more can be done on the Ps3… sigh!

Maybe I have to start thinking about selling my Ps3's in anticipation of the Ps4, which for me, is forcing my hand ūüôĀ

I doubt Bioshock Infinite will be delayed that far, it has already had so much coverage unlike GTA V. I really hope it isn't this year has been truly lacking and we really need more titles to be released now.

The hyperbole machine… its been talked about so much that there is huge anticipation… I wonder how it will turn out? The longer it is delayed the worst it gets!

GTAIV probably, id be surprised if its released by march.
for some reason R* loves releasing its games in may, see RDR, LA Noire, MP3, the only R* game this gen that has not released in said month is MCLA and GTAIV which released late april so close enough!
as for bioshock infinite no freaking way!
the games been in development since 2007 for crying out loud!
the day they delayed the game they announced the new release date!
if it was THAT far off we still would not have a date for it, let alone announce a new date the day its delayed!
plus without them, what will bring in the $$$$$ for R*?
sure theres RD and noire, but there only 1 and 2 years old its a bit early to be talking about new versions of them.
and as for max payne even more so!

its pretty clear and obvious where R* will be going with their releases.
GTAV will be next, followed by maybe another midnight club its been a while since we saw that!
maybe they will do that, maybe they wont, im leaning towards not i think they have lost faith in the series popularity.
so id say GTAV, than a new red dead, than hopefully a new noire game, wherever its based.
and maybe agent can fit in somewhere between that.
hopefully!

I'd be fine if it got moved back to April 2013 – means that I won't have to sacrifice time away from Criterion's NFS:Most Wanted!!

I think these two games would be excellent send offs (along with The Last of Us and Beyond: Two Souls) for this generation of consoles. I would expect two more strong years of software for these consoles before I am willing to upgrade.
