Ready for more co-op fun?

EA has announced Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel , currently in development at Visceral Games and slated to launch for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2013.

Featuring DICE's vaunted Frostbite 2 engine, the new effort is dedicated to "resetting and refreshing the franchise." We'll travel to Mexico, where two highly trained operatives from Tactical Worldwide Operations (TWO) will take on the cartels. At some point, we'll "unleash the power of ultimate destruction" but above all else, we'll have to continue to work as a team to get the job done. The game will also boast online and split-screen co-op play (as well it should), plus an upgrade and customization system that is "deeper and more advanced" than ever before. More depth is always good, right?

After what we considered to be a mediocre debut, Army of Two: The 40th Day really stepped things up on all fronts, and we're hoping for another step in the right direction.

We find the word "coop" in loads of headlines these days! Gotta dig it. ūüôā

The first Army of Two sucked though. It sucked so hard that we didn't even consider the sequel. Omg the macho-macho stuff in that game became waaay too much for us to stomach.

I agree boom. The 1st one did suck and I kick myself for purchasing it. The only reason why I did was Co-Op. I miss the good old co-op games. Its like developers forgot about co-op somewhere in video game land. I meam I like a good single player game when Im by myself not with friends or my chick around. I say more co-op split-screen and online. This game better set the bar.

I guess I'm not that hard to please and although the 1st one wasn't the greatest, I enjoyed it never the less.

But I haven't gotten to try out the 2nd one yet as it's still sitting in my huge backlog of games.

sweet!
i was really starting to get worried the series was dead!
however, why is visceral games working on it?
what happened to the developer who did the first 2 in the series?
why is visceral working on this when they should be working on dantes inferno 2!?
this is one of the MANY reasons why EA was voted americas worst company!
they keep giving franchises to developers that have nothing to do with it!
criterion should be working on burnout not NFS!
DICE should be working on ME2 not BF4!
visceral should be working on dantes inferno 2 not AoT!
