Yeah, that's par for the course.
The Dawnguard downloadable content for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim has been available for the Xbox 360 for a month, but there's no word on when (or if) it'll come to the PS3 or PC.
And despite any rumors floating around out there, Bethesda VP Pete Hines Tweeted to remind everyone that nothing official has been reported . Hence, any dates you may see are just unfounded rumor and nothing more. Hines wrote:
"We have not announced Dawnguard for any other platform, nor given a timeline for any such news. If we have news, I promise I'd tell you."
Hines did say to an annoyed fan that he was just clarifying, and merely because there's nothing official now doesn't mean there never will be. But it hasn't been enough to quell yet another uprising on the part of PS3 users everywhere, who have always felt like second-class citizens in Bethesda's world. Maybe the best way to counter that is to just say, "Yep, Dawnguard is coming even if don't know when."
…okay, maybe that isn't the best idea, either.
