One of the most controversial topics of discussion these days is the power comparison between the PS3 and Xbox 360, and whether or not one multiplatform version of a big-name title will be better than the other. Well, it's gone back and forth thus far, with The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion being best on the PS3, F.E.A.R. clearly being best on the 360, and most recently, Rockstar has said the 360's DVD drive is placing some kind of restraint on their much-anticipated Grand Theft Auto IV .
But what about Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 ? Well, according to Eurogamer and IGN, producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi has said the 360 and PS3 versions of the game will be "pretty much identical."
"As far as the Xbox and the PS3 are concerned, the capabilities and the features in the game we expect will be the same," Kobayashi told IGN. "Our plan is to pretty much make them identical."
As for extra game details, we'll be controlling Nero this time around, and he'll have the double-barreled pistol, Blue Rose, and the huge sword, Red Queen. As was the case in previous installments, the player will be able to link the two weapons together to create devastating combos. Furthermore, Dante will indeed be playable, but won't appear until later on in the storyline. Nero and Dante are very different characters, though, so don't think you'll be an immediate expert just 'cuz you mastered Dante in DMC 3.
We still don't have a release date, but the PS3 and 360 versions are expected to release simultaneously, with a PC version arriving later.
