And those who remember titles like Frequency and Amplitude with great fondness will probably be interested in the downloadable Rock Band Blitz .
Today, Harmonix has announced that the new music title will hit the PlayStation Network on August 28 and a day later on the Xbox Live Arcade; the price will be $14.99 and 1,200 Microsoft Points, respectively. No instrument peripherals are required for this one, which actually supports the "biggest music library in gaming," primarily because it's fully compatible with thousands of songs already available at the Rock Band Music Store. The game will ship with 20 songs, too; here's a brief sampling that was just revealed:
