Many have wondered how the multiplayer will be implemented in the upcoming God of War: Ascension . After all, this is a genre that, on the surface, doesn't seem cut out for online multiplayer action.
But hold up…you're not giving those talented developers anywhere near enough credit, now are you? They've got something crazy special prepared for ya, and if you'd like an early glimpse at the epicness, check out Ascension blog .
There you will meet Polyphemus, one of the biggest Titans to ever grace the world of God of War . The interesting part is that until you can appease this massive beast, you're going to suffer continual annihilation at the gargantuan hands of Polyphemus. He's basically a "boss" on the desert multiplayer map and "until you earn enough favor from the Gods to be granted the Spear of Olympus – the only known weapon that can destroy Polyphemus," you'll be at his mercy.

Im really interested in the Multiplayer. I love the single player which will drive me to get the game in the first place but this….this is what is going to make me convince friends to get it.
Man, I'd love to have my real Polyphemus.
The very first thing I'd do is unleash him on whole stinking crop of Washington DC politicians in office now….those that are trying to destroy America, & all of the others who are refusing to anything about it.
What's Rick from Splatterhouse doing in this game?
I am a little worried about the frame rate in this new God of War. God of War III was super smooth by comparison.
GOW3 was definitely smooth, but it's a pity the framerate wasn't locked. It did feel a little jarring at times.
I didn't notice it really. No moments come to mind anyways.
im actually really surprised what they have done with it!
i was always one of those what could they do with it people, but they have genuinely implemented something really interesting to the franchise, and even the genre!
however im still on the i wish this was not included because its going to steal time away from the single player bandwagon.
todd keeps saying they did MP because they wanted a challenge, a chance to do something different.
well why couldent they do that with the campaign?
getting really old now, i mean come on this does not look like a new GOW!
this looks like a DLC pack!
games really starting to get old!
been there done that a million times now!
