Well, if it worked out well the first time, why change it?
More and more developers have started to use the PlayStation 3 as the lead development console in their multiplatform projects. One of those teams is MercurySteam, the guys behind the popular and well-received Castlevania: Lords of Shadow .
So with Lords of Shadow 2 in development, The Gamers Hub asked producer David Cox if the PS3 was still the machine on which they will begin. As it turns out, the short answer is yes: Sony's console will once again be the lead console. Of course, with third-party exclusives mostly going the way of the dodo this generation, multiplatform projects are by far the most common and in truth, essential for survival.
So who's excited for LoS2? I admit I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one, but I know I was in the minority.

I'm going crazy about this.
This is at the top of my wish list next year! I loved the first LoS. It just had something about the really ticked it for me – sad story of such a noble man who becomes everything he fought against. For sure the concept has been used in other films and games, but nevertheless, LoS gave it a fresh new feel.
I liked it. Wouldn't really care for a sequel if the ending didn't leave me wanting a sequel.
What was great about LoS was (although it took some time) once you got into it it was very clear that it hadn't succumbed to the faster and dumber trend but held onto a lot of classic mainstays.
Glad PS3 is taking the lead again, the first game had to be on 2 DVDs for Xbox so I expect the same for LoS2 or we will know they cut corners.
I was talking to my acquaintances about something similar. I told them, that L.A. Noire has 4 disks for the Xbox because the DVD doesn't have as much capacity as Blu-Ray, to what they replied "… It has more content."
Can't argue with someone who is so close-minded on one particular thing.
I'm always the odd one out when it comes to preferences in gaming.
Haha, the content is the same. Gotta love it when people try to argue facts.
Fact : 4>1
So, The 360 has 3 exclusive discs. 3 extra discs equal more content.
Lord of Shadows was bloody incredible. The bosses & barrage of different monsters & settings had me almost constantly excited. The game was quite a meaty one too which helped.
The game was great & i cannot wait to lap up the sequel.
so cant wait for this!
CLOS is one of the most under appreciated games this gen!
in fact better than enslaved!
at least one of them is getting a sequel…………..
I loved the original and hope they improve on it in the areas it needed improving on. Really looking forward to this!
Like most of the people commenting I also really liked Lords of Shadow. Some of the environments were so pretty, I would load some levels up when my friends came over and show them them.
I am looking forward to the sequel. I want to see how they play out Gabriels story.
I'd say his story is about finished, it'll get a new hero in that Alucard-looking guy.
Except it's been confirmed a bajillion times that LoS2 continues Gabriels story and features him as the main character.
A lot of games continue stories, but who says the stories are about one person. Think Metal Gear Solid 2, It continues Snake's story, but was more about the new guy Raiden. It's always good to approach things with an open mind. I everything lived up to your expectations, there'd be no room for surprise, ya know?
