The hotly anticipated Tomb Raider reboot won't be out until March of next year, but Crystal Dynamics is already hinting at a sequel. Cool, more Lara!

Global brand director Karl Stewart told Videogamer that although we're still nine months away from the return of Lara Croft, he has to be careful because he knows "exactly where she's going."

" You have to look at the future, you have to look at where… It's not just one game. At the end of this game we want her to be that strong female character that is willing to go and seek out mysteries and seek out tombs. She's going to be going to plenty of tombs in this game, but we're going to have somebody who wants to go on that adventure, who wants to be the person that she now is. That's the goal. "

Stewart couldn't be prompted to say anything more because he said he'd get in hot water with the director of the next game. "What the fu** are you saying?" is what he's worried about hearing. …kinda funny. Also, don't forget that Crystal Dynamics is supposed to be working on other projects, including a brand new IP for the next generation. Perhaps the other project is a Tomb Raider follow-up…? And might it be headed by ex- God of War director Cory Barlog?

Well, let's not get too ahead of ourselves. It's fun looking to the future but we're gonna need Lara Croft to wow us next year.

Quite the wait on this game since it was first announced, that tells me CD is being very careful which is very good. I think previous outings were a little rushed to try to cash in on the lara fan base. This will come around the end of this console cycle so the next could easily be for next gen.

I've wanted so hard to enjoy Underworld but it makes it so hard to do a lot of the time. I really want this new game to succeed. Otherwise, I'd say CD's time with the franchise needs to be handed over to another dev.

I had a similar experience, I didn't get far in Underworld it just gives me this "It's okay" vibe that doesn't compel me to play. Imagine what Naughty Dog could do with TR. If CD fails this time I think Lara might not recover.

Does the hyper sensitive tracking cam strain your eyes after about 15min, or so? It drives me nuts. If it weren't for that I'd probably have finished it. I got pretty far.

It was a little annoying but the game overall feels outdated and not in a nostalgic fun way. Still got it on my hard drive though so ya never know. 9 months is a long time for more Lara.

I'm not expecting much from this game or the "new" franchise.

whatever it is ill be bowling down the highway to get it!
love the new look of tomb raider, definitely by far the best game at E3!
i wish crystal would go back after this and bring us another pandemonium!
a sequel to the original, than after that a 3D spin off!
that would be freaking sweet!

Crystal Dynamics should be working on the remake of Blood Omen: LEGACY OF KAIN!! It had the best story line by far of all the LOK's.
