Now this is a damn good idea.
Today, EA has announced "Project HONOR," a "program dedicated to raising awareness and generating charitable contributions for fallen warriors from the Special Operations Community in honor of the sacrifices they and their families have made for their country."
EA has teamed up with weapon and gear manufacturers who outfit our Spec Ops guys; this includes Kaenon, London Bridge Trading, Magpul, SureFire, and Mechanix Wear. The manufacturers will donate to the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation for Project HONOR. The items in question will also be featured in the upcoming game, Medal of Honor: Warfighter , and "select partners" are on board to create and sell exclusive MoH-themed merchandise. 100% of those proceeds will go to the aforementioned foundations as well as other charities.
Also, developer Danger Close has revealed a special Warfighter Military Edition, which will be available exclusively for active, reserve and former U.S. military members. This is a partnership with GovX, Inc., the largest online shopping site for the military, law enforcement and related government personnel and their families. The Military Edition of the title will boast exclusive in-game unlocks and if you qualify, head over and pre-order it now .
Said Medal of Honor Executive Producer Greg Goodrich:
"We have a tremendous amount of respect for our service men and women around the world and a deep level of gratitude for the sacrifices both they and their families make on a daily basis. We’ve teamed up with some of the biggest military brands to deliver an authentic experience in Medal of Honor Warfighter. We’re excited to work with these great partners to also launch Project HONOR to raise awareness for the Navy SEAL Foundation and the Special Operations Warrior Foundation and drive real world contributions of which we can be proud."
John T. Carney, Jr., Special Operations Warrior Foundation President added that this is a "great way to give back to some of our country's greatest warriors." Yeah, we're definitely on board with this. To learn more, visit the Warfighter and Project HONOR official website .

aww
I agree, this is a great idea. However, is this only for sales in the US? And if not, will global sales go towards the US soldiers only or will it help soldiers in that country as well?
I plan on supporting it either way, I'm just curious.
It should be split up with a representative proportion of sales in each country going to charities that support the physical AND mental rehabilitation for service members in that country.
Take that CoD, with your much less than 100% donations.
I read project HODOR. I would rather play that.
If it helps our troops rather than just trying doing it to get free publicity(like I think Anti-vision did), then I'm a 1000% for it.
BTW, most people will never get to experience the bittersweet joy & pain as I have while taking part in many motorcycle escorted funeral tributes for our fallen soldiers(the pain of losing a hero, & but the joy of being a part of honoring them).
R.I.P. to all our fallen heroes
i'm with matt99,
for a cause like this,
i don't even care what kind of review it might get, its a D1P.
