Capcom has come under fire for its on-disc downloadable content concepts, but the good news is that the publisher is listening.

Capcom SVP Christian Svensson has assured disgruntled gamers that their negative feedback has been heard, and the company is currently "reevaluating" how they go about approaching additional game content. Do you recall when Capcom said there was no difference between downloadable content and locked on-disc content…? That sure ruffled some feathers.

Here's Svensson's statement on the matter:

"We would like to assure you that we have been listening to your comments and as such have begun the process of re-evaluating how such additional game content is delivered in the future. As this process has only just commenced in the past month or so, there will be some titles, where development began some time ago and that are scheduled for release in the coming months, for which we are unable to make changes to the way some of their post release content is delivered."

An example of such a game is the highly anticipated Dragon's Dogma , where the decision to include some extra game content on the disc was made at the start of the design process. At the time, Capcom deemed this the "most efficient way of ensuring certain content was made available." So in that case, they can't really change anything, but at least they're telling you the "whys and wherefores," and they'll keep you apprised of where they're going in the future.

They're reacting and acting, right? That's a good thing.

Reevaluate by giving us no dlc at all. Release day of the game is 100% the game.

Oh what sweet words they use when talking about their problems. Translation:

"Yeah we shit the bed quite badly on that one, but hey, we're just people right? Next time when we rip you off it'll be in a more secretive way."

sorry crapcom but when someone comes to me and quotes me a job than does the job and charges more no matter how good a job they do, or if they vow to change and do change, they can offer me 50% discount on my next job i still wont use them!
in other words you f*cked me over in the past with your on disk DLC bull sh*t, so you lost me as a customer FOR LIFE!
i hope the few bucks i gave you was worth it!
this is exactly what happens when you become greedy!
f*ck your customers and they f*ck you back, then take their money elsewhere.

shame, because dragons dogma was looking really good!
gameinformer gave it a 8.5!
oh well, torrent will surely be up soon.
sorry crapcom but if this is how you treat your fans, this is how they will treat you!

Darn. I was really hoping Dragons Dogma didn't have any on disc DLC. Hopefully its just really none essential stuff. Like DLC should be.
