At least 50 hours of gameplay with as many as 300 for the hardcore completionists. Ready to sign up?

Capcom's Dragon's Dogma is nigh, and if you're a fan of role-playing franchises like The Elder Scrolls , you'll definitely want to give this one a try. Featuring dynamic, "highly stylized" combat and a huge world to explore, this one should be great for both the solo player and those who wish to play with friends.

The invigorating launch trailer is below. The enemies look wicked intimidating – a Cockatrice; what is this, Final Fantasy ?! – and the gameplay certainly looks intriguing. Given the sheer size of the map and Capcom's claims of fantastic intricacy, we can't help but be excited. Sink your teeth into this bad boy!

The demo is still waiting for me to get around to it but from what I've seen and heard it should be right up my alley. I just have to judge how much it is worth now.

Oh is that main guy like a dude with a story or do we create our own character like in ES?

In the demo you got to make your own char. Pretty sure its like a Dragon Age kinda deal with your main

Ya like he said , the first part you play as the defaulth main character but in the second part you play with you re created character as you main and the pawn you created along 2 other .

The two option will be in the retail version .

World, the demo makes the game feel very much like Dark Souls to me. It's got that same feel–slow combat, third person, big bosses, etc. Damage isn't as unforgiving, though. I wouldn't go so far as to call it a Souls "clone", but man does it feel similar.

Now that you mention it , it does feel a little like a Soul game .This is without the difficulty like you mentioned .

I hope you can choose from multiple difficulty from the get go .This is because i feel this game could be at it s best with a real challenge demending that you really think how to use the 3 companion you got with you and which one would be best to have with you at a certain time .

I would love if it saved at the stone you use to summon you re firend ( autosave ) and have a save where you want feature as well .

Not really like the souls games at all. Only some of the atmosphere. While the weapon swipes can be slow compared to action games like bayonetta, there is no stamina bar for normal attacks. The daggers are really quick, and all in all it is much faster than the Souls games. Although I do see similarities I have pumped 100s of hours into both souls games and they don't really feel that similar to me.

It actually feels like a medieval Lost planet 2 to me.

This game caught my eye for sure when i started reading about it. After playing the demo I really want to give it a try. But since the D3 beta came out, all i've been wanting is D3 haha. Nothing seems like its worthy right now and im sure that wont be the case once ive put many hours into it. Im sure soon after the balance of my gaming will be restored.

Same here , have a hard time playing anything else them fps mp since starting a game with D3 right around the corner seem pointless .

I ll defenitely buy this game at it s first price drop .Especially since i know the armor of guts ( my main Pawn i alredy created )and Griffith from the anime berserk will be in it .

looks really good!
shame its releasing the same day as one of the biggest franchises ever created!
what is it with publishers latley and putting new IPs up against famous ones?
ghost recon, a series from a well known developer, that has had many games and every one rocked!
or dragons dogma, a new IP from a unheard of developer and has had 0 titles as its a new IP.
hmmmmmmmmm, hardest decision ive ever had to make but i think ill have to go with ghost recon.
but just by a little!

Welcome to our planet! Those of us on Earth are quite aware of the development team involved in Dragon's Dogma. Day one purchase here.
