If you plan on picking up Ghost Recon: Future Soldier in a few weeks, you'll probably want to consider the downloadable content, too.
Ubisoft has announced the first piece of DLC for the highly anticipated Tom Clancy installment; it's the Arctic Strike Map Pack, which features new multiplayer maps, a new mode, a new Guerrilla Mode co-op map, and six more weapons that will give you an additional edge over your enemies.
"From the streets of Moscow to the far reaches of the Arctic," you can expand upon an already invigorating experience by picking up the DLC pack for $9.99 on the PlayStation Network (800 Microsoft points on Xbox Live). You will have to wait a bit, though; as the game arrives on May 22 (the PC version releases on June 12), the Arctic Strike Map Pack won't be ready until July 3. Well, you can hone your skills in that span of time, which will probably be necessary if you wish to be competitive online.
For those of you unfamiliar with the Ghost Recon series, I can tell you the titles are typically full of gritty, intense entertainment; I remember having a ton of fun with the co-op in Advanced Warfighter .

The beta has been a blast for sure.
Here we go again, DLCs even before game is out?
They're just announcing when the first DLC pack will be released, it's not launch day DLC.
I die a little every time DLC is announced before the game comes out. Just a little…
This is the way from here on in, announcing map packs, etc before games are even released. People love their multiplayer and are anxious on when their dlc will arrive. Nothin' wrong with that.
of course, what are developers suppose to do the month + from a game that goes gold to release?
there not getting paid to sit on their fingers you know!?
I'm kind of disappointed in FPS games lately, but I have to admit, this one is one I've been keeping my eye on.
Every time I see a preview either I'm nuts or the visuals and character models look more early gen.
Anyway, it'll be interesting to see how this turns out since Blops II is clearly using it as a template.
soooooooooooooooooooooooo cant wait for this!
i f*cking loved advanced warfighter 2, and this looks even freaking better!
but as for the DLC.
sigh.
MP DLC again!
no, seriously, is there going to be a single game this year that is not a RPG/ action adventure that will get SP DLC?
just one!?
