It hasn't been officially revealed but by now, it seems like a foregone conclusion.

And if you're excited about a new Dead Space , you've got to check out all the rumored details for Isaac Clarke's next harrowing adventure.

The report features everything from multiplayer to weapon information. Firstly, Dead Space 3 should have drop-in, drop-out co-op play; in this case, Isaac's partner in crime will be some mean-lookin' dude with a scar on his face, a RIG of his own, and glowing red eyes. Apparently, he's the hero's guide in the single-player. The co-op should "mirror the single-player campaign" but interestingly enough, the story will change to accommodate the co-op aspect, so the two experiences won't be identical. Working together will also be essential.

As for the weapons and upgrade bench, you should anticipate some changes. For instance, the default weapon, the Plasma Cutter, will be a little different. It used to be that the alternate fire for the gun was shifting from horizontal to vertical line fire but now, the alt-fire "has a similar knockback effect to the Force Gun." Furthermore, the Pulse Rifle might have saw blades as a secondary fire, which might actually make the Rifle useful (hated that freakin' weapon).

Feel free to read more; just bear in mind that none of it has been confirmed yet. We can't wait until Dead Space 3 becomes a reality!

Ooooh – THIS is great news. If this coop experience match the quality of the Dead Space games so far, this will be something to look forward to indeed.

I played a bit of the first dead space and liked it but it was always one of those games I never picked up…but I may have to invest finally….And full campaign CO-OP, I do like the sounds of that…

Man if only capcom was smart enough to have done something like this .There are ways to implement co-op in you re game and still having the possibility to play solo when you re not money hungry .

It's nice to hear about the co-op. Now you and a friend can share with the "Oh $h!t!" moments. Will be interesting to see how they make it work in the game. As for the Pluse Rifle Ben, I found it highly useful, especially when I ran out of Plasma Cutter rounds.

I hope they dont take out the vertical to horizontal line fire, sometimes it was so much easier to take out a monster just by switching to vertical line.

I hope they keep my fave weapons: the Javelin Gun and the Ripper. It sounds like they are going to combine the ripper blade with the pulse rifle.

Seems a lot more action-y to me. That may not be a good thing…

I liked the pulse rifle, I would stasis them and then blow their knees apart.

I'm a little worried, co-op is good and all but hopefully if I turn the online off I can still have a solitary scary experience without Scarman popping in all the time as my "guide"

You got Saints Row 2/3 right? Those games got drop in/drop out coop too. I can *guarantee* that coop is fully optional in Dead Space 3 as well. ūüôā

(You just *have* to get a buddy join you coop in the SR games though. It's absolutely HILARIOUS!)

pass.
the original was a freaking masterpiece!
true classic horror, it was not a survival horror game and it was not really scary but it had a real tension and great atmosphere to make up for it.
2 was a great mindless action game like L4D nothing else!
this will be more of the same, mindless action no scares or thrills what so ever!
congrats EA thank you for creating another awesome IP then destroying it!
sigh.
can we have 1 freaking series this gen, just one thats all i ask, just 1 that does not turn into a mindless shooter!?
sigh, the noobification of the human race continues!

"Working together will also be essential." ?!?!?! Well if that turns out to be true there goes my pre-order AND purchase… This is a freaking SURVIVAL HORROR GAME, how the heck is it HORROR if you have a buddy to back you up all the time? I really hope this doesn't go the way of the RE franchise and their near manditory co-op BS…

As for the weapons, I'll hold any speculation about that until I see how it's instituted, although I would like to see the Plasma Cutter retain the horizontal secondary fire, to me that is still more useful then the knock-back feature, unless they are doing away w/ the Force Gun.

I hope they keep this game closer to the original than it's sounding from the rumors, if not, another great franchise killed by greed and the mindless shooter phenomenon…
