In addition to the $80 million EA is tossing at the new generation , they also handed out some really excellent current-gen news.
The publisher plans to drop new installments in both the Dead Space and Need for Speed installments before this fiscal year ends, which means those titles will be on store shelves before March 31, 2013.
The new NFS entry is slated for the third quarter of the publisher's fiscal year, which means it should drop around October. Dead Space was dubbed as a "blockbuster" game for the new year. There was little doubt that a third Dead Space was coming and of course, Need for Speed can never die.
But we'll definitely want to learn more about both titles. We're wondering what angle they plan to take in the new NFS; more realistic or more arcade-like? As for Dead Space , that redefined the very nature of survival/horror this generation; call it a third-person shooter if you want, but let's face it- These bad boys are basically what Resident Evil could've/should've been.
You've got to hand it to EA for not putting all their eggs in one basket. I hope DS3 doesn't skimp on the scary.
im slightly more interested in the future of mass effect especially if it ends up an mmo
Dead Space, wasnt for me, not denying it was an good game though, but Need For Speed IS going to be an D1P. Especially if the rumors are true and its going to be Most Wanted 2!
I'm with you buddy. Haven't really played a NFS game since that bad boy.
On Dead Space and not on NFS. Get Criterion off this soft nonsense and back on what built their reputation: BURNOUT. It's about time the car-nage returned…
Please let the next NFS be open world'ish ala Most Wanted, Midnight Club and Burnout Paradise.
most wanted 2 ive been waiting for for a long, long, LONG time!
by far the best NFS game ever made!
actually downloaded it off the PSN store recently.
as for dead space 3, why?
come on EA stop milking the series and let visceral get back to work on dantes inferno 2!
i want a new dead space as much if not more then the next guy, but we need a new dantes inferno first!
oh and speaking of NFS, for the love of god stop wasting criterions time!
i swear to god if EA announce criterion are working on the next NFS, and not what they should be working on, a burnout sequel, im getting my glove out!
