If you're looking for some great deals, you need to check in with Amazon today.

The Lightning Deals could be fantastic for gamers; right off the bat is the Gold Box deal where Mass Effect 3 is only $29.99; that's a 50% discount, math geniuses. And you can visit Thrifty Nerd to check out the guesses for the remainder of the day.

Included in the list are some PlayStation Move accessories, like the Navigation controller, PlayStation Eye, and Sharpshooter (gotta wait to see if the predictions are right, but they're probably close), and as for games, at 2:00 p.m PDT we can "Catch 'Lightning'." That probably means either Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy XIII-2 will receive a hefty discount. Lastly, fighting game enthusiasts might have a shot at a relatively cheap arcade stick of some kind, so be vigilant! Gotta pay attention if you want to save.

For those who are wondering what all the fuss was about concerning the ME3 ending hoopla, now's the time to strike. Even if you're as annoyed as some fans were, at least you can say you only spent $30, right?

Final Fantasy XIII-2 has been $29.99 in Canada for a couple weeks already.

Gamestop was selling it new for $29.99 as well, but what was funny, was that they had a used copy there for $34.99. I'm sure they just hadn't gotten around to putting a new sticker on it though.

Also, ME3 has been $29.99 for at least a couple of weeks here in Canada, at least at Wal Mart.

I just bought FFXIII-2 for $40 and I am on the final mission in ME3. So I am unsure what to play after ME3 since StarHawk is right around the corner. But $30 for ME3 is a no brainer as it's an amazing game!

I still haven't finished XIII-2. Hell I got the Collectors Edition for the soundtrack and most of it's recycled from XIII!

I haven't finished either, it doesn't hold my attention. I wish we had the battle music from XIII in XIII-2, at least it made me want to fight.

LV flip flopped a few times, actually. He folded and pre-ordered, then he cancelled it, then he pre-ordered again.

Lol, it was a rollercoaster time for the young man!

As for me, I still haven't got FFXIII-2. I said I would wait til it's cheaper, but it still isn't cheap enough to make me feel like I really want to buy it. I'm just not excited about it…

Speaking of good deals…(hat tip, Myworstnightmar)

Anyone near a Target store, they are giving away $20 coupons towards a new game that costs $29.99 or more until Saturday for any two games that are on their trade in list. It's a good time to get rid of old games you don't play anymore and know you can't sell for more than $10. They are accepting most generations and platforms. However it's limited to Target stores that have a cell phone department. You have to deal directly with the mobile sales associate. Follow the link below to search their database to see if they are accepting your games.

I already got ME3 for that price (yes new) off ebay.

Final Fantasy Versus XIII has to drop the "XIII" if it's ever coming. That number and it's connected FF games are cursed.

Actually yea, "Final Fantasy Versus" can settle on its own. It may even be something entirely different like the PSP counterpart. Anyway, to me the game doesn't deserve a "XIII" on it either.

EA is one company that can drop the price of its new games (especially NFS) pretty quickly so nothing really unique about this. FFXIII-2 however, that's surprisingly quick.

Someone had a ninja bandana around the head of this site's default anon. photo. I thought that was pretty clever.

Just bought Mass Effect 3 from Amazon for $30, but it's not the first price they listed for the ps3 version. $48 is the price that shows up when you first look for it.

sucks, not only do we get ripped off with launch prices, ripped off with the rate of depreciation, but we even get ripped off with sales!
50%!?
i honestly cant remember the last time a game store here had a 50% off sale!
20%, 25 if your lucky but never 50!
hell i picked RAGE up on sale a few weeks ago, still cost me 70 bucks!

i REALLY gotta start buying my games on ebay!
always 40+ bucks cheaper then the shops!

Why shoot to FFXIII or XIII-2 when there's Infamous 1 &2 out there? Of course XIII-2 would make a good amount of sense, but geez, lol.
