Take-Two Interactive boss Strauss Zelnick said THQ would be done in six months. And although THQ has essentially told him to mind his own business, another piece of potential bad news is floating around concerning the embattled publisher.
Currently, Darksiders II holds a release date of June 26. The anticipated sequel from Vigil Games focuses on another of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse – Death – and is supposed to feature a more in-depth gameplay format (almost an action/RPG, from what we've heard). But in speaking to RipTen , a PR representative calls that June 26 date into question.
The interview was with THQ executive vice president Danny Bilson but when Darksiders II came up, the PR rep interrupted and said the company can't "honestly" confirm the launch date. Bilson elaborated by saying they haven't announced anything specific but the team is "working really, really hard" and they won't ship the game "before it's done." Well, it's probably a good idea. THQ needs this one to be successful, and they know it.

I had to laugh when I saw the title on the front page.
"Can't 'honestly' confirm release date."
First thought that went through my head?
"Yeah, well, neither can anyone else, so don't beat yourself up over it."
lol
Things are sure getting messy between Take-Two and THQ…
Can they sell their franchises if they do go out of business? I might buy some if they have anything interesting.
He probably said this because Nintendo hasn't announced a release date for the Wii U. This is supposed to be one of its launch titles.
Coolness can't wait to play this one.
Anyway, hopefully Vigil doesn't get squashed too hard by GameStop.

The dev claims the used game industry is fine, it's just GameStop who has to go BooYa!

I hope this still comes out in June. I'm really looking forward to playing it and it would suck to have to wait longer.
If it's not finished and needs to be tightened up still then that will be fine. I just hope it's not because of THQ's problems.
I think they just want to polish it up. It is a game that is looking to be massive in scope and scale. I hope they are taking extra time if they need it.
Also the person talking about the Wii U is correct. This is a launch title so they might have some deal with nintendo.
OH COME ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i swear to god if darksiders 2 misses its release date im going on a murderous rampage!
figures, games i dont give a sh*t about like RE6 get pushed forward 7 weeks, and games ive been waiting tooth and nail for probably get delayed!
