There's no doubt that Medal of Honor: Warfighter will strive to be authentic and base a lot of its action on real-world events.

Although it was previously confirmed that the Osama Bin Laden assassination mission won't be featured in the game ("it's not our story to tell," said EA), the upcoming title will still extract quite a few realistic scenarios from the current war on terror, and authenticity is a primary goal.

More story details have been placed on the title's official website , and we learn the locations we'll visit and the name of the main antagonist party. Firstly, we'll be checking out "places like the Philippines, Somalia, Pakistan, Yemen and more," which means the environment should change significantly on a frequent basis. Secondly, the main evil organization is Abu Sayyaf, an "Islamist separatist group with ties to Al-Qaeda." The group, started in the early 90s, has a violent history that consists of bombings, kidnappings, extortion and assassinations, and they'll use whatever weapons they can get their hands on.

At the start, the Tier 1 Operators are sent in to rescue government workers taken hostage by Abu Sayyaf, which then grows into a much more critical mission, with a "much bigger target and an even greater global danger." Yes, well, provided it's realistic without being preachy , everyone should find this to be entertaining and invigorating.

Getting real sick of the war games… Whatever happened to shooting aliens, zombies, and demons. (DOOM)

"Whatever happened to shooting aliens, zombies, and demons."

Resident evil, Killzone, Resistance, Dead space, and Mass effect, just to name a few. Although, if your referring to first person shooters, that narrows the list down a bit.

The last MOH had the best weapon sound effects of any military shooter i've played – unfortunely they didnt support the game very well – it probably would have done better if it wasnt released just a few weeks before black ops – they should release this one in september at the latest if blops2 is coming in november
