The last game didn't do exceedingly well on sales charts, and it didn't score exceedingly well, either.
And yet, Capcom wants to give us another: A new trailer for the previously unannounced Lost Planet 3 has surfaced and perhaps surprisingly, it's definitely encouraging. As you can see, they're going back to the frozen tundra common in the first title (the sequel had more jungle/forest environments).
The only issue in the eyes of many is the developer. Spark Unlimited has produced several games in the past, but none of them have been massive hits; there's Legendary , Call of Duty: Finest Hour , and Turning Point: Fall of Liberty …so maybe that doesn't instill one with a lot of confidence. But really, this trailer isn't bad.
Lost Planet 3 should arrive some time next year. In the meantime, here's hoping Capcom can find a way to restore some former glory to its name. The fighting games are still coming up big, but other major franchises and titles are becoming questionable…
