Yes, you too will be able to experience the power of two.

Disney Interactive Media Group has announced Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two , the sequel to the popular and critically acclaimed Wii title. Obviously, the reason we're reporting it here is because the second game is also scheduled to arrive for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Mickey deserves high-def!

Once again, gamers will play as Mickey Mouse, the iconic Disney mascot. Also, for the first time, we'll be able to play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit, who is technically Walt Disney's very first cartoon star. The game is being created by industry veteran Warren Spector and Disney Interactive's Junction Point studio. Said Spector:

"As a life-long Disney fan, working with Mickey Mouse in the original ‘Disney Epic Mickey’ was a truly humbling experience. Millions of fans fell in love with Mickey as a video game hero and I know they'll experience similar emotions when they get to interact with and actually play as Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in ‘Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.’"

Mickey and his magical paint brush will benefit from the new co-op feature, as Oswald will also be able to use his remote control to command electricity. The rest of the atmosphere should be mesmerizing; in fact, they're calling this game a "musical," as "characters will advance the plot by expressing themselves in song, with all-original music and lyrics." Lastly, Epic Mickey 2 will support PlayStation Move but apparently, not Kinect.

Looking forward to this one!

Sounds like a ton of fun.

But lets be honest…..

Mickey is most epic when wielding a key-blade and not a paintbrush.

Ugh, every time I am reminded about the non existent KH3 part of me cries.

How about they stop pumping out final fantasy 13 sequels, give me Versus 13 and start working on my KH game. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT WAS IN THAT LETTER!!!!!!

I'm thinking this would probably work well on the Vita too, seeing how you probably could swipe the brushstrokes using the front &/or back motion sensors too.

Needless to say before I get excited I want to hear news of an Epic Mickey 1 for PS3. It seemed like a very interesting game for the Wii and would love to play it, but not if I don't have access to the prequel. End of.

The first Epic Mickey was rather good. Any criticism it got, was mainly because it failed to meet the very high expectations that were set by Spector himself. But the game was actually enjoyable. With tons of stuff to do.

It reminded me of the best of what Banjo-Kazooie had to offer. Without the annoying collect-a-thon element (you did collect stuff in EM, but it was never overdone).

It's not a classic. But it's one of the best Mickey games out there.

I heard the first game was very well done, so providing that this one just supports move, but doesn't require it, I'll keep my eyes on it.
