Hefty Reckoning DLC: New Dungeon Type, Weapons, Quests

For those of you fully immersed in the engaging world of Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, you'll likely be interested in the first official piece of downloadable content.

Technically, the game already has add-on content in the form of the House of Valor bonus, which is easily obtained by using EA's Online Pass. But let's not quibble; more content is always a good thing, yes?

EA has revealed the Legend of Dead Kel DLC, which will become available on March 20 for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC via Steam and Origin. It's set on the island of Gallows End and boasts "shadowy new characters" along with new enemies, new quests, and new weapons. Plus, those willing to purchase the extra content will get a new dungeon type; Dverga Fastings, as well as three new Twists of Fate. The total number of new equipment: 8 armor settings and shields, and 18 weapons.

Lastly, the DLC includes Gravehal Keep, a huge estate with plenty of characters and "unique back stories." This sounds like a hefty expansion but as of yet, we don't have a price.

While the first game didn't sell me, I see it's success as steps in a direction that may make into a franchise I can like. Time will tell, I guess.

I'm RPG overloaded as it is.

Ah man… for a moment a thought it was some new weapons type ( spear would have been nice for one ) .

Anyway , it s gonna be a great download once i decide to take a break from RE raccoon city .

Definitely look like the kind of DLC i want to see more . Too many offer so little for too much money .

Absolutely fantastic news! Granted I don't even need this DLC yet! 🙂 I am 40 hours in and still have not barely touched the main quest. I have been doing the Faction quests as of late and they are great. I have a nice Might/Sorcery character going. There are just so many options in this game. I will buy all DLC D1P.

If you play the demo you get some freebies in the game. Also if you play the Mass Effect 3 demo you get some Omniblade Daggers. I started Amalur last night and while it's definitely a bit behind in tech there's a certain charm there.

It's a little hard to play at the moment, it was the last game I discussed with a friend who died on Sunday. He was really into it, and I've got to finish it for him.

Thanks guys. He was a good man and boy did he love his games. They took him into other, better worlds than this unfair one. I appreciate your sympathy a great deal as I've been a community member for a long time and have gotten to know you all through our shared hobby.

meh.
i really wanted to get into this, tried oh so many times, but it just feels far too much of a cheap cheesy B grade title!
feels like something a high school student put together for his mid term assignment, not a AAA high budget production!
