L.A. Noire sold millions of copies and was a hit with critics and gamers alike. It's too bad what happened to developer Team Bondi, but we say their project shouldn't be forgotten; it was a multiple award-winner for us in 2011.
The Motion Scan technology was amazing and with Team Bondi gone, we were hoping to see the tech pass to another Rockstar team for use in a new project. But could that project actually be a sequel to L.A. Noire …? In addition to saying Grand Theft Auto V info was still a few months away , the recent developer Q&A hinted at the possibility of L.A. Noire 2 .
"We're all very pleased with how that game turned out and are considering what the future may hold for L.A. Noire as a series. We don't always rush to make sequels, but that does not mean we won't get to them eventually–see Max and Red Dead for evidence of that. We have so many games we want to make and the issue is always one of bandwidth and timing."
For those of you who played and completed L.A. Noire , you know the major hurdle a developer might face in creating a sequel. No spoilers here but let's just say the story didn't exactly allow for a follow-up effort; at least, not with all the major characters intact. So what do you say? Want another L.A. Noire ? We'll definitely take it, even if it's a prequel or something.
