How many people have bought a game just to play an included demo? Okay, not so much this generation, what with demos landing on the PSN and XBLA every week, but you did it in the past, right?

Heck, I still remember getting Resident Evil: Code Veronica X for the PS2 (already played the hell out of RE:CV on the Dreamcast) just so I could play the Devil May Cry demo. About 20% of the reason I got Dragon Quest VIII was that Final Fantasy XII demo; as it turned out, DQVIII was one of my favorite RPGs of the generation.

But anyway, Capcom has announced that Dragon's Dogma will launch in North America on May 22 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360; it'll release three days later in Europe. Furthermore, if you purchase the game, you will get a chance to play the freshly announced Resident Evil 6 early. But PlayStation 3 fans might be a little miffed, as Xbox 360 owners get the nod this time around.

The voucher for that demo can be redeemed on the Xbox Live Marketplace on July 3, but PS3 owners have to wait until September 4 before they can test out the sample. RE6 is slated for November 20. For more on Dragon's Dogma , be sure to check out our preview , and here's the new story trailer.
