It isn't a bad idea: take a few high-profile downloadable games and bundle them together on a physical disc.

Microsoft already did it last year by delivering a trio of XBLA hits ( Limbo , Splosion Man , and Trials HD ) and now, it appears Ubisoft might do the same thing.

According to GamerZines citing UK retailer Play, the French publisher is planning a three-pack for brick-and-mortar retailers. It'll include Beyond Good & Evil HD , From Dust , and Outland . The retail listing has the package slated for a March 23 release for £14.99 (around $20) and it's coming to both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. However, no word yet on whether or not Ubisoft will bring this triple play to the US.

By the way, if you missed BG&E on the PS2, you should definitely look into the high-def version ; this is one game that withstands the test of time quite well.

Yeah, this is a good idea indeed.
So, Ubisoft is french?! I didn't know that! That makes them "ours" for those of us who live in Europe then. No wonder I liked Far Cry 2 so much! 🙂

French in origin, but with a huge presence in Canada (Montreal and now Toronto)…probably most of their employees.

All three have demos.

From Dust is a God game; Outland is a platformer.

Bring this to the US damnit, I want!

I already have the PS2 disc BG&E, and the From Dust D/L, but I'd still grab this one in a New York second, especially for only around $20.

Bring it Ubi

I'd be interested to see if these come state-side. I wanted to play these, but haven't bought them considering the backlog of games I currently have.

This kinda flies in the face of physical media being outdated and the industry moving towards download only. I guess publishers still see value (and profit) in physical media.

For those people that still live off the grid, like myself, this is a great deal. The only internet connection I have is a mobile hotspot through verizon because that is the only option where I live for decent internet, and that is capped at 5 gb. That really limits my video game downloads and online play, so hopefully it does come here because I would snatch that up in a millisecond.

That deal is a no brainer to me with three titles that are actually on my shopping list. I have recently bought a ubi HoMM package with a christmas deal from Steam. They really know how to bundle their games for sweet deals.
