We knew it was coming but now we have a finalized launch date: Capcom has confirmed that the Devil May Cry HD Collection will hit store shelves for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on April 3 in both North America and Europe.
The package will include the first three games in the series: Devil May Cry , Devil May Cry 2 , and Devil May Cry 3: Dante's Awakening , all redone in stunning high-definition. Plus, we'll get extra bonus content (although we don't know exactly what it is), and Trophy/Achievement support. The original remains one of the most critically acclaimed games of the PS2 generation, and many hardcore action aficionados will tell you that DMC3 featured one of the deepest and most rewarding combat mechanics ever.
Man, I still remember the demo for the original that came with Resident Evil: Code Veronica X . I played the hell out of that demo; must've completed it like 20 times before the game came out.
