If you've been keeping up with the news lately, you know the hot rumor involves Valve and Half-Life 3 .
First came some speculation and a very intricate breakdown of the Wheatley video at the Spike TV Video Game Awards. You can see more on that at VividGamer ; there's also evidence that might support a Half-Life 3 unveiling within the next couple of months.
But it doesn't end there. Another rumor focuses on Valve boss Gabe Newell and some intriguing e-mails that may or may not be fake. If they're real, Valve will be announcing "something with a 3 in it," possibly at E3 2012. But there are a few problems with that…there are several potentially viable options, remember: Left 4 Dead 3 and Portal 3 . Now, we just got Portal 2 earlier this year, so perhaps there are only two real possibilities.
But we're pretty damn sure we know what most gamers want. L4D garnered plenty of followers, but let's face it: a new Half-Life would be huge. Bigger than huge.
