Damnit, the first quarter is primed to destroy our wallets…again.

In addition to big-name games like Final Fantasy XIII-2 , Mass Effect 3 , The Darkness II , and Twisted Metal , a certain brutally difficult slash-'em-up game is also set for the January-March term. Prepare yourself.

Yep, it's Ninja Gaiden III . According to Joystiq , the highly anticipated sequel will launch on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2012, with a Wii U version coming at a later date. Team Ninja boss Yosuke Hayashi revealed this targeted release window and action fans everywhere are already drooling.

Although the game boasts a new easy mode, we have to say- if you're a casual gamer or completely unfamiliar with the Ninja Gaiden series, be wary of this one. There's no doubt it's gonna tax your skills to the limit, just because that's what Team Ninja tends to do with such titles. I distinctly remember beating the first game on the Xbox…still can't believe I did it.

Shinobi on the ps2 (along with nightshade, though I didn't get a chance to play it) rank right up there with DMC3se as my favorite hack'n slash on the platform.

Although, I got an xbox just for NG, and beat it, I didn't fully appreciate it until I got Sigma on the ps3. I also adore Hayashi's version of NG2, so I'm looking forward to NG3.

Shinobi on the PS2 remains the best ninja slashing game I've ever played.

Games like Ninja Gaiden and Dark Souls are truly a credit to hardcore gameing, these two franchises are what's best in gameing.

I'll give it a shot. But I'm apprehensive about the new vision Haysashi-san holds for this series going forward.
I get the feeling Itagaki's baby would've been best taken care of only with Itagaki as the parent.

Not that I wouldn't want to be proven wrong. In fact, that'd be great as the NG series is one of my absolute favorites.

I feel ya, Sensei Temjin. Though after playing both Sigma's, I did feel Hayashi san's version's were improved in more ways than not. So I'm not that nervous. And Itagaki san is still giving us Devil's third, so I'll be happy.

All I need is this, DMC, and a couple others and I think I'll be set for a long time… if I can get the funds for em that is.
