Believe it or not, another Call of Duty game might be in the works. Yeah, seriously.
As noted by GamerZines , Treyarch is beefing up for the next CoD project. Job listings at the developer's website all but confirm it.
Some of the listings ask applicants to be experts on "recent First Person Shooters," and one says the new employee will be cranking on "combat systems (such as weapons and attachments) and gameplay mechanics (such as Perks and spawning)." One ad for a Gameplay Combat Designer makes the situation even clearer; he will report "to the Design Director for the Call of Duty multiplayer team at Treyarch." "Call of Duty" is mentioned all over the place, obviously.
And nobody is really surprised. Treyarch boss Mark Lamia has said the team is a "100% Call of Duty studio," and given history, it's their turn. Infinity Ward just delivered Modern Warfare 3 , Treyarch's Black Ops dropped in late 2010, so…yeah, the cycle continues.
