Mikami’s Studio Receives Massive Skyrim Shipment

That's one heck of a gift.

You may not know, but Capcom boss Shinji Mikami formed his own studio, Tango Gameworks, in late 2010. They haven't produced anything just yet, but for the record, they're a ZeniMax Group company…they're sorta related to Bethesda Game Studios.

Therefore, Bethesda sent Tango a big ol' shipment of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim , and it wasn't just a couple of copies. No, it was one Collectors Edition for every member of the Tango group, as you can see over at Andriasang . Mikami's studio has been growing over the past year so obviously, they needed a lot of boxes. The only problem is, with the biggest game in existence just sitting there, we're afraid Tango might experience delays…

The interesting part is that they all received the English version, because there is no Collectors Edition for Japan. Skyrim launches on December 8 in the Land of the Rising Sun, but the Tango guys were probably playing it last night. Don't miss deadlines 'cuz of it!

… and in related news, the Skyrim shipment arrived just after the huge batch of unsolicited Xbox 360's from MS.

Please note it is once again the 360 version only being sent out.

Look at that… Bethesda did sent Mikami the 360 version.

Wouldn't it have made more sense to give them the PS3 version instead? I mean, who even owns a 360 in Japan?

I guess next week we'll read about Mikami getting a truckload of 360's from MS.

Hey Bethesda,

You really need to send 1 copy over to me too….

….just so that you can gloat about Skyrim being the very 1st RPG in over 35+ years that I could finally sink my teeth into.

Oh come on Biker, it can't be the only RPG you've sunk your teeth into. Remember, in the shooter world of gaming, an RPG is known as a weapon for netting some sweet kills 😉

Temjin001,
Well like Clinton, I must admit that I have "nibbled".

But even though I have a lot of the FF's & most of Squaresoft's RPG titlss, I have never been able to get into any of those true RPG's.

I guess I get really super-bored fast with making & casting spells, magic, & doing all those turn-based type of thingy's.

Now, some of the action-y ones like the Fallout, New Vegas, & ME's, I can get into.

My name is Saint & I think I'm turning into a twitcher…

"Hhheeeellllllppppp Mmmmmeeeeeeeeeeeeeee".

Serious numbers padding by MS. Anyway, I think it's safe to say this studio will now handle an Elder Scrolls spinoff (a la Obsidian with New Vegas) while Bethesda works on Fallout 4.

So this is what they're doing instead of fixing the game.

Said a Tango employee,

"They attached a note that read, 'please fix this game for us. We are on vacation.' We didn't even know where to begin, so we pretended it was just a gift."
