Nobody really wants to brave the crowds at midnight. To save your sanity, there's always online shopping. Then it's just a virtual assault on products and services, which can only put a strain on servers.

And if you're a gamer, or you plan on purchasing plenty of games as holiday gifts, you definitely have to check out Amazon's list of 200+ games and accessories that are on sale for Black Friday. Yes, today. Oh, don't worry, you've got plenty of time. Just don't procrastinate for too long.

As an example, here are the discounted PS3 games ; you can grab Battlefield 3 for $40, Killzone 3 for $28, Dark Souls for $35, Ace Combat: Assault Horizon for $32, Bioshock 2 for $10, and L.A. Noire for only $20! There are just a ton of great games participating in the deals, so it's definitely time to catch up on your backlog.

…after that, you can maybe buy something for someone. 😉

Picked up Revelations for $34.99. The deal was finished in under 15 seconds though. I think they're doing it again today in a few hours.

damn, waited on that one last night and the instant it came up as available I clicked on add to cart. Only to have it show a spinny loading thing on the add to cart button and tell me sorry all discounts claimed, that thing was gone in under 2 seconds

There was a moment where I saw the 199 PS3 pack on Amazon. It's just crazy because a lot of people weren't probably aware of it after finding out there was a bunch of people lining up for it at Best Buy where I was.

Anyway, it was cool to see so many people pick up the PS3 boxes. It always makes me somewhat happy knowing there are more Sony supporters. Hopefully, their intentions isn't to sell it back for profit…
